A NEW YEAR

Wow, halfway through the school year already! This is when things get very exciting. Our students are reading better, faster, and with more understanding. However, both school and home must not drop the ball. First grade is a crucial age for learning a lot of information and reading is the keystone.

Reading 10 minutes in the morning during breakfast or on the ride to school as well as reading 10 minutes at night before bedtime, will without a doubt increase fluency, sight word recognition, comprehension and most importantly, self-esteem.

Need a fun New Year resolution?

Give your child the gift of time, read to them and have them read to you!

It truly is the best 20 minutes a day a parent can have with their child!

Happy New Year! Ms. Bryant
